What we do

Often structural engineering is overlooked, as people tend to focus on the design aesthetic of the project rather than how it’s going to be constructed.

But, as civil and structural engineers, our role is crucial as we essentially make sure that buildings don’t fall down and roads don’t collapse (amongst other things). We design structures that are safe without compromising on their appearance, and work with architects and contractors to ensure their vision is built safely and to last.

Involving a structural engineer in the design team early on, can effectively streamline the design and make it cheaper and easier to build, and also allows for more accurate costings and timescales.

Our services

Our structural engineering services cover a wide range of design aspects utilising all materials, as well as all types of structural surveys and reports. And we always make sure that our designs and calculations meet the necessary building regulations.

Our team of chartered engineers can provide effective and reliable designs across all commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

Residential

We consult with private homeowners and developers across the UK, providing design and inspection work for a wide range of projects. Size and types of projects vary, from removing a single wall to bespoke new builds as featured on Grand Designs. For developers, we can cover all elements of design from highways and drainage adoption agreements through to detailed foundations and structural design.

Highways & Drainage

Our involvement can be from an early stage, dealing with feasibility studies, flood risk assessments and drainage strategies including pre-application enquiries. As part of the design process, we produce construction level information for highways and drainage while liaising with Local Authorities and statutory undertakers for adoption agreements (S38, S278, S104, S106).

Industrial

Our industrial client base varies from single businesses to industrial developments of all sizes. More unusual projects include lightning mast towers, pipe brackets and reverse engineering structures to accommodate changes to existing buildings.

Commercial

We regularly work with owners, landlords, management companies and developers on on a wide range of commercial buildings. Projects can range from initial reports and feasibility studies through to the conversion of properties as well as custom new builds.
